I activated this lighthouse August 2006

Isle of Whithorn harbour light,a square white tower.

It was from this small fishing port on 11th. January

2000 the scallop dredger “ SOLWAY HARVESTER”

sailed, it ran into a Gale force 9 and sank with the

loss of the 7 man crew.

Isle of Whithorn is NOT an Island, but on the

mainland of south west Scotland
